Curaleaf: Aurora Hasn't Engaged on Substance of Deal Proposal

1653 ET - Curaleaf doubles down on its proposal to acquire rival cannabis company Aurora Cannabis, accusing the company of offering "hollow protests and completely misleading statistics" in a Monday statement. Curaleaf objects to Aurora's assertion that the companies have engaged over Curaleaf's offer, saying that "we have not had a single conversation on the substance of a deal." The company also says Aurora "continues to cherry-pick statistics" around its business, and said it remains ready to discuss a possible a deal. Earlier, Aurora said Curaleaf made misleading claims about its business in an effort to lowball shareholders. Curaleaf proposed earlier this month to acquire Aurora for around $272 million.
