Japanese Equities Slip on Tech Selloff; Fed, Crude Prices in Focus

The Nikkei 225 fell 332 points or 0.5% to open at 65,195.26.

Chipmakers remain under scrutiny ahead of Nvidia's results on Wednesday for signals of further sector weakness.

Meanwhile, Brent crude prices held steady near $92 a barrel after the U.S. warned of sanctions on Iran-related trade.

Markets are also awaiting Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole address for policy direction amid persistent inflation concerns.
