Update: Dick's Sporting Goods Shares Decline as Fiscal Q2 Non-GAAP Earnings Fall; Fiscal 2026 Guidance Lowered

Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS) shares were down more than 22% early Tuesday, after the company posted a decline in fiscal Q2 non-GAAP earnings and cut its fiscal 2026 outlook.

The company reported fiscal Q2 non-GAAP earnings of $3.53 per diluted share, down from $4.38 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $3.76.

Net sales for the quarter ended Aug. 1 were $5.59 billion, compared with $3.65 billion a year earlier.

Analysts expected $5.64 billion.

For fiscal 2026, the company said it now expects non-GAAP EPS of $11 to $12, compared with its prior guidance of $13.50 to $14.50. Analysts are looking for $14.28.

Net sales for the full year are now expected between $21.9 billion and $22.2 billion, compared with its previous guidance of $22.1 billion to $22.4 billion. Analysts are looking for $22.33 billion.
