Australia's total construction work done in seasonally adjusted terms fell 2.1% sequentially to AU$82.52 billion in the June quarter, the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported Wednesday.
Total construction work climbed 2.7% year over year in the June quarter.
Total building construction work in the June quarter rose 1.3% to AU$45.84 billion year over year. Total engineering construction work declined 6% quarter over quarter to AU$36.67 billion.
Residential building construction activity rose 1.7% over the period to AU$27.87 billion, while non-residential building construction activity rose 0.5% to AU$17.98 billion.
The trend estimate for total construction work done rose 0.7% quarter over quarter and 4.5% year over year in the June quarter.
