SLB (SLB) has received access to Venezuela's oilfield data, following a contract signed between the company and the state-run Petroleos de Venezuela, or PDVSA, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing three sources close to the negotiations.

Under the contract, SLB has been tasked with organizing and upgrading PDVSA's outdated databases that have not been maintained for years and suffered a recent cyberattack, according to the report, citing the sources.

SLB did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
