TWG Global Names Goldman Sachs Legal Veteran David Markowitz Chief Legal Officer

TWG Global announced Monday it has hired Goldman Sachs (GS) veteran David Markowitz as its chief legal officer, as CEO Mark Walter faces federal probes into his financial dealings, as reported by CNBC.
Markowitz, who has three decades of experience in legal and business matters, has spent more than 15 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as global co-head of litigation and regulatory proceedings. He will now act as a key adviser to TWG Global's leadership team.
CEO Walter is under investigation by federal prosecutors and US Securities and Exchange Commission over alleged fraud involving the concealment of financial connections while borrowing billions of dollars from insurers he controls.
