NZX Midday Sector Update: Consumer Non-Durables Stocks Jump, Distribution Services Sector Struggles

Consumer non-durables stocks advanced over 2% at midday Tuesday.

a2 Milk Company (NZE:ATM, ASX:A2M) gained almost 5% in recent trade.

On the flip side, the distribution services sector struggled, shedding over 1%.

Vulcan Steel (ASX:VSL, NZE:VSL) shares fell almost 5% in recent trade.

The dual-listed steel distributor logged NZ$0.151 in adjusted earnings per share for fiscal 2026, compared with NZ$0.136 a year ago, a Tuesday filing showed.
