Hong Kong Stocks Open Lower as Global Markets Eye Iran Sanctions

Hong Kong stocks opened lower on Monday amid uncertainty over potential U.S. sanctions on Iran.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.9%, or 229.34 points, to open at 25,780.12, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index dropped 1%, or 84.99 points, to open at 8,549.35.
Investors are also watching for details of U.S. sanctions on Iran, while oil prices remain elevated after a sharp weekly gain.
Markets are also looking ahead to Nvidia's results on Wednesday and Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh's speech at Jackson Hole later in the week for clues on the interest-rate outlook.
