General Motors, Unifor Reach Tentative Agreements Covering Over 4,600 Canadian Workers

General Motors (GM) and Unifor reached tentative agreements covering more than 4,600 unionized workers at four Ontario facilities, following just over a week of negotiations, the Canadian union said Monday.
The agreements cover employees at GM's Oshawa Assembly Plant, CAMI Assembly Plant in Ingersoll, St. Catharines Propulsion Plant and Woodstock Parts Distribution Center.
Unifor said the agreements include income and benefit gains and maintain the bargaining pattern established in its recent deal with Ford (F).
Negotiations with GM began Aug. 10, following ratification of the Ford agreement, the union said.
