Jiahua Stores (HKG:0602) expects to report a net loss of between 38 million yuan and 42 million yuan for the first half of 2026, sharply wider than a loss of 3.6 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The retailer attributed the forecast mainly to lower gross profit following efforts to boost sales after store renovations, reduced rental income from subleased properties amid strong competition and weak local economic conditions, and the absence of gains from early lease terminations.
