Caixin: Zhou Guren, the largest investor in the Trump family token, has been listed as a dishonest person, involved in six cases with outstanding debts amounting to tens of millions of yuan

The UAE-based investment firm Aqua 1 Foundation has spent $100 million to purchase $WLFI tokens issued by World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency project associated with the family of U.S. President Donald Trump, surpassing Changpeng Zhao's cumulative investment of $75 million and becoming its largest buyer.

For a long time, the actual controller of Aqua 1 remained a mystery. Recently, Zhou Guren, born in Shanghai, China in 1984, has gradually come into view as the major financier behind the $WLFI tokens, with the source of his funds shrouded in uncertainty. According to reports, Zhou Guren is still listed as a dishonest party subject to enforcement on China's Public Information Disclosure Network, involved in six cases with total outstanding debts amounting to several million yuan. A recently disclosed indictment from the UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) reveals that Zhou Guren is currently also implicated in a money laundering case in the UK.
