The application window for the 2026 Foshan Embodied Intelligence Robot Technology Competition, held along the Two Rivers area, has officially launched. This event is organized by the Foshan Two Rivers Office, the Foshan Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Foshan Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, and the Foshan Municipal Federation of Trade Unions. The competition is hosted by the Nanhai District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Foshan and Foshan Huashu Robot Co., Ltd., with support from the Nanhai Branch of Agricultural Bank of China, Foshan Intelligent Equipment Technology Research Institute, and the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Industry Association.
Technical guidance is provided by Foshan University, Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, Guangdong Light Industry Vocational and Technical University, Shunde Vocational and Technical University, Foshan Polytechnic, Jiangmen Polytechnic, and the Foshan Public Human Resources Service Center. Eligible participants must be at least 18 years old and within the legal working age, comply with national laws and regulations, maintain high professional ethics, have no records of complaints or violations, be in good health, and hold at least a junior high school education. Both working professionals and currently enrolled students are welcome to apply.
Competition format and schedule
The contest features an on-site individual competition model, divided into preliminary and final rounds. The preliminary stage is a closed-book theoretical assessment with no cap on the number of participants, from which the top 80 candidates will advance to the finals (if multiple participants tie for the 80th place, all may proceed). The final stage is a practical skills test where contestants complete hands-on tasks on site. Registration runs from now until September 4, 2026, with pre-competition training scheduled for September 9. The preliminary round will take place on September 12, followed by final training from September 12 to 16, and the finals on September 19. All events will be held at Foshan Huashu Robot Co., Ltd., located at Building 5, No. 60 Taoyuan East Road, Shishan Town, Nanhai District, Foshan.
Awards and benefits
The competition offers one first-place prize of 5,000 yuan, two second-place prizes of 2,000 yuan each, and five third-place prizes of 1,000 yuan each, with rankings generally not tied. Winners will receive exclusive privileges, including priority access to high-quality job opportunities with key enterprises in Nanhai District, with recommendations for internships and employment. For entrepreneurial participants, connections will be made with investment and financing institutions to build strong career development bridges. Additionally, winners can gain early access to industry-leading technical training and one-on-one expert mentorship to enhance their skills.
