A low-altitude economy science and technology pop-up exhibition by Yufeng Future has officially opened at Shanghai Global Harbor, aiming to bring the concept of future air mobility closer to the general public.
At the event, Yufeng Future's self-developed 2-ton class electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, the M1, is on public display. Dubbed the "air taxi," this aircraft carries five passengers, is fully electric with a 250-kilometer range, and cruises at 200 kilometers per hour with full autonomous driving capabilities. The offline event not only serves as a public science popularization initiative but also marks the beginning of a new industrial collaboration.
Starting from this event, Yufeng Future has forged a partnership with Yuexing Group, the parent company of Global Harbor, to launch a joint innovation plan for intercity low-altitude business travel. The two parties aim to upgrade regional cultural and commercial tourism, address vertical transportation infrastructure needs, focus on the Yangtze River Delta business travel consumer market, explore deep integration models between low-altitude transportation and urban commercial tourism, and create immersive new consumption scenarios for air travel.
The domestic intercity air travel and commercial district low-altitude application landscape has long faced industry bottlenecks. However, eVTOL aircraft offer core advantages such as low noise, zero carbon emissions, and multiple safety redundancies, making them suitable for sensitive environments like urban commercial hubs and residential areas. This enables "flyable commercial zones without disturbing nearby neighborhoods," meeting operational requirements for urban air travel.
As a leading commercial and cultural tourism enterprise, Yuexing Group's Shanghai Global Harbor and Changzhou Jiangnan Global Harbor form the "Twin Global Harbors," establishing a core commercial landmark layout across Shanghai and Changzhou. Shanghai Global Harbor was designed with a professional rooftop helipad from its inception, providing a unique hardware foundation for low-altitude scenario implementation. This cross-sector cooperation deeply integrates low-altitude hard technology with physical commercial tourism scenarios, upgrading existing low-altitude hardware resources in commercial districts.
The partners will leverage the helipad resources of Shanghai Global Harbor and the geographic advantages of the Twin Global Harbors, focusing on Shanghai-Changzhou intercity commuting and cultural, commercial, and tourism consumer demands. They will conduct targeted research on adapting low-altitude takeoff and landing facilities in commercial complexes, upgrading safety standards, and standardizing scenarios. This will expand diverse applications such as low-altitude plus commerce, tourism, and transportation, exploring complete low-altitude flight solutions tailored to commercial district scenarios.
At the regional development level, this cooperation will compress the temporal and spatial distance between Shanghai and Changzhou, creating a "one-hour living circle" for cultural, commercial, and tourism activities in the Yangtze River Delta. Ground commuting between Shanghai and Changzhou is time-consuming, and cross-city business travel and tourism round-trips suffer from inefficiency. The establishment of a low-altitude three-dimensional transportation corridor enables rapid connectivity between the twin landmarks, significantly improving cross-city commuting efficiency, activating two-way flows of commercial, cultural, tourism, and business resources, and forging a representative commercial-district-type intercity low-altitude link in the Yangtze River Delta.
Yufeng Future has already completed deployments in multiple application scenarios, with this low-altitude business travel exploration being a crucial component of its low-altitude application strategy. Previously, Yufeng Future partnered with Shanghai Ruijin Hospital to explore aviation medical rescue applications, leveraging the M1 to create aerial medical rescue solutions and build urban three-dimensional life rescue channels, improving pre-hospital emergency care and cross-regional medical transfer efficiency. Yufeng Future has also collaborated with the Guangdong Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps, exploring innovative low-altitude firefighting application scenarios targeting challenges such as high-rise buildings and complex urban areas. Additionally, Yufeng Future has worked with several renowned logistics companies to jointly explore commercial applications for low-altitude logistics.
