A recent environmental assessment disclosure has revealed that Henan Cylaifu Chemical Co., Ltd. is proceeding with a renovation project to produce 200 tonnes of pharmaceutical intermediates annually at its facility in the Kaifeng Fine Chemical Development Zone.

The company plans to allocate a total investment of 38 million yuan, fully funded through self-raised capital, to construct a new production line and upgrade an existing one. The project will utilize the current factory buildings and auxiliary facilities across the site's 49 mu (approximately 3.27 hectares) of land.

At the heart of the project is the establishment of a production line capable of manufacturing 200 tonnes per year of tert-butyl N-[(1R)-2-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl-1-(hydroxymethyl)ethyl]carbamate, a key pharmaceutical intermediate. Concurrently, the existing 200 t/a production line for (5-bromo-2-chlorophenyl)(4-ethoxyphenyl)methanone will undergo upgrades as part of the renovation.

Key equipment for the operation will include synthesis reactors, recovery stills, distillation units, and three-in-one filter-wash-dry machines. These will be integrated into the existing infrastructure to support the enhanced production capacity.

Henan Cylaifu Chemical Co., Ltd., established in 2008, operates as a private enterprise focused on the research, development, production, and sales of coatings, new-type panels, and chemical products. The company's expansion into this pharmaceutical intermediate segment marks a strategic move within its broader chemical manufacturing portfolio.
