Prudential plc announced that, on Aug, 24 2026, it cancelled 384,248 previously repurchased ordinary shares, trimming its issued share capital by 0.015383% to 2,497,459,520 shares.
On the same day, the company repurchased a further 381,159 shares on the London Stock Exchange at prices between GBP 10.295 and GBP 10.43 per share, paying an aggregate GBP 3.95 million. These shares are intended for cancellation.
Including 371,404 shares bought on Aug, 21 2026 and still awaiting cancellation, Prudential now holds 752,563 shares pending cancellation, equal to about 0.030129% of its current issued share base.
The transactions were executed under the buyback mandate approved on May, 14 2025, which permits the repurchase of up to 262.67 million shares. Since the mandate’s approval, Prudential has repurchased 115.47 million shares, representing 4.43% of the share count at that time. The company is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share sales until Sep, 23 2026.
