At the 2026 interim results conference held on August 25, Li Ling, General Manager of the Risk Management Department at Bank Of Chongqing Co.,Ltd. (601963), addressed the decline in retail loans, attributing it primarily to insufficient market demand.

Aligning with the downward trend observed among national and local banking peers, the bank's retail loan portfolio is under pressure as consumer credit demand remains persistently sluggish and early repayment volumes stay elevated, signaling that retail credit has entered a "weak demand cycle."

Looking ahead, Li Ling outlined that Bank Of Chongqing Co.,Ltd. will deepen its transformation along two key tracks: customer base management and structural optimization, aiming to drive high-quality retail business growth. First, the bank will refine customer services by strengthening digital operational capabilities, introducing intelligent operation tools, and establishing a "smart operations" system to boost the efficiency and quality of retail customer management.

Second, it will intensify focus on its core market by advancing business quality and volume growth, maintaining stable scale while optimizing the liability structure. The bank will prioritize wealth management transformation to enhance overall profitability.
