OMNIVISION Reports Interim Net Profit of RMB 1.22 Billion, Down 39.9% Year-on-Year

OMNIVISION (00501) has announced its results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, with the group recording total revenue of RMB 14.025 billion, a slight increase of 0.49% compared to the same period in the first half of 2025.

Within this, revenue from the semiconductor design business reached RMB 10.671 billion, accounting for 76.17% of total main business revenue, reflecting a 7.79% decrease year-on-year. Meanwhile, revenue from the semiconductor agency sales business amounted to RMB 3.263 billion, representing 23.29% of the group's main business revenue, marking a robust 41.01% increase compared to the prior year.

Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company stood at RMB 1.22 billion, down 39.9% year-on-year, with basic earnings per share of RMB 0.97.

During the reporting period, the group's investment in research and development for its semiconductor design business was approximately RMB 1.944 billion, which accounts for 18.22% of the revenue from that segment and represents a 12.74% increase over the previous year. The company has consistently and steadily ramped up its R&D spending across various product areas, providing strong support for product upgrades and the development of new offerings, thereby steadily enhancing its product competitiveness.
