ZA Online reported a 1.55 billion RMB net profit attributable to shareholders for the six months ended 30 June 2026, a 132.2% jump year-on-year.
Insurance revenue rose 12.9% to 16.99 billion RMB, while gross written premiums edged down 0.6% to 16.56 billion RMB. The underwriting combined ratio improved 0.1 ppt to 95.5%, generating 773 million RMB in underwriting profit, up 17.8%.
Total investment income from insurance assets surged 150.0% to 1.60 billion RMB, driven by stronger equity markets. The annualised total investment yield climbed to 7.8% from 3.3% a year earlier.
Segment results: • Insurance posted 1.48 billion RMB profit, doubling last year. • Technology operations swung to an 16.54 million RMB profit from a loss. • ZA Bank recorded 71 million HKD net profit, about 1.5 times the prior-year period, on 26.6% revenue growth.
Ecosystem-wise, Digital Lifestyle premiums grew 24.7% to 7.74 billion RMB, Health rose 7.0% to 6.71 billion RMB, Auto gained 4.2% to 1.54 billion RMB, while Consumer Finance contracted 79.2% to 560 million RMB.
Total assets reached 47.56 billion RMB, up 1.8% from end-2025; net assets stood at 26.94 billion RMB. The comprehensive solvency margin ratio improved to 287.7%, and Moody’s upgraded the insurer’s financial strength rating to A3.
The board declared no interim dividend.
