During the conference, GPHL and its subsidiaries signed cooperation agreements with multiple international partners, covering areas such as industry-academia-research collaboration, supply chain development, equity investment cooperation, and the international promotion of traditional Chinese medicine culture.
GPHL's subsidiary, Wanglaoji, announced the official launch of its WALOVI Singapore International Headquarters. The strategic new product, "King Hero" natural energy electrolyte drink, also made its international debut. The event was attended by Kang Yiming, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore; Hu Hao, Deputy Mayor of Guangzhou Municipal People's Government; Bai Yibo, Core Director and Chairman of the Commerce Group and Membership Committee of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce; Li Xiaojun, Party Secretary and Chairman of GPHL; Xu Bin, Deputy Party Secretary and Union Chairman; Liu Jian, Chief Strategic Scientist; Yuan Cheng, General Manager of Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Holdings Company Limited; and Zheng Jianxiong, Deputy General Manager. Nearly 300 guests from government agencies, research institutions, investment firms, industry associations, and media outlets, both domestic and international, gathered to explore new opportunities for international cooperation in the health industry.
Leading the Charge in Sino-Singapore Trade Cooperation, Extending an Olive Branch to Global Partners
In his address, Kang Yiming introduced Singapore's business and development environment, expressing hopes for deepening economic and trade exchanges between China and Singapore. Bai Yibo highly praised the close interactions between the two countries in trade, technology, and culture, and looked forward to expanding practical cooperation through this conference. Li Xiaojun stated that Singapore, as a hub for trade, innovation, and capital in Southeast Asia, is a key bridgehead for GPHL's global market strategy. He emphasized GPHL's commitment to modernization, digitalization, technological advancement, and internationalization, expressing a desire for deep collaboration with local governments, universities, and enterprises to build an open and win-win health industry ecosystem.
Zheng Jianxiong elaborated on GPHL's innovation strategy and the "GPHL Premium Products" initiative, highlighting the group's efforts to drive quality upgrades through innovation, create a product portfolio suited for international markets, and build a globally recognized brand image. The conference also served as a platform for GPHL to extend an "olive branch" to global partners, opening up comprehensive cooperation opportunities. GPHL's Research and Project Management Department promoted investment opportunities in innovative TCM development, biopharmaceutical technology application, and research commercialization. The Human Resources Department issued a "call for heroes" for global talent in biomedicine, international marketing, research, and capital.
Leading internationalization-focused subsidiaries, including Da An Gene, Wanglaoji Great Health, Baiyunshan Hanfang, and Baiyunshan Hejigong, delivered presentations to recruit strategic customers and quality product partners worldwide. From product collaboration and research commercialization to talent acquisition, GPHL has opened multiple cooperation channels, sending a strong signal of partnership to the global community.
In a thematic salon moderated by Dr. Liu Jian, Chief Strategic Scientist of GPHL, four experts engaged in an in-depth discussion on "From Product Innovation to Value Co-creation: GPHL's Path to Research Commercialization and Brand Upgrade." Panelists included Fang Dafeng, Chairman of Wanglaoji Great Health; Professor Guan Cuntai, Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Engineering and Deputy Dean of the College of Computing and Data Science at Nanyang Technological University; Professor Zhao Dan from the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore and Dean of the NUS (Guangzhou) Research Institute; and Peng Xiaoming, CEO of Lion TCR Pte. Ltd. Their diverse perspectives provided valuable intellectual support for GPHL's deepening international strategy.
GPHL Secures Multiple International Partnerships, Wanglaoji Singapore Headquarters Launched
The conference featured several significant ceremonies, marking a key milestone in GPHL's global expansion. During the signing session, GPHL subsidiaries inked cooperation agreements with various international partners. Wanglaoji Great Health signed a strategic supply chain agreement for Southeast Asia with Baosteel Packaging, and an industry-academia-research partnership with the Nanyang Business School. Baiyunshan Hanfang Company reached a strategic cooperation with Lion TCR Pte. Ltd. Hejigong signed an agreement with Singapore-based Huamao Company. GPHL Private Equity partnered with Walgreens Boots Alliance, and Baiyunshan Biotech signed an intention agreement with WSTD INTL HOLDING PTE. LTD.
During the conference, Wanglaoji Great Health presented the global brand strategy for Wanglaoji WALOVI, and the WALOVI Singapore International Headquarters was officially launched. As Wanglaoji's international operations center, the WALOVI headquarters will oversee brand promotion, channel management, and customer service. It will also explore supply chain models such as overseas processing and local bottling to enhance product adaptability to regional markets. In the future, it will take on functions including global business coordination, industrial mergers and acquisitions, cross-border capital management, and international talent recruitment, providing systematic support for overseas expansion.
The official launch of the Singapore headquarters marks an acceleration in Wanglaoji's strategy to deepen its presence in the ASEAN market, using Singapore as a strategic anchor. In May of this year, Wanglaoji had already held a global investment conference in Guangzhou, signing distribution agreements with partners from ten countries across South America, Africa, and Central Asia. The establishment of the Singapore headquarters signals a shift in Wanglaoji's internationalization from "point-specific breakthroughs" to "systematic cultivation."
The event also featured the launch of the Wanglaoji WALOVI "King Hero" energy electrolyte drink. As a strategic new product, King Hero is made with natural ingredients such as ginseng and coffee beans, containing no synthetic taurine or artificial caffeine. It precisely targets the global consumer trend among young people shifting from "post-overdraft recovery" to "daily well-being." The international debut in Singapore responds to the global demand for natural health products and marks the official global rollout of Wanglaoji's next-generation natural plant-based beverage strategy.
Additionally, the large-scale health documentary series "The Carbon-Based Happy Life," co-produced by GPHL, Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Holdings Company Limited, and Phoenix TV, was officially launched during the conference. The series features a walking team comprising Phoenix TV hosts, TCM and Western medicine experts, and cross-cultural guests who explore 12 universal carbon-based life topics—including diet, sleep, emotions, work, breathing, immunity, and reproduction—through on-site experiences and in-depth dialogues. Filming has already begun at the Chen Liji Museum in Guangzhou, with the program expected to air within the year.
This conference represents a key initiative in GPHL's internationalization strategy and a practical step for Guangzhou's pharmaceutical and health industry to "go global." Moving forward, GPHL will use Singapore as a strategic anchor, deepen its presence in Southeast Asia, and radiate outward to the global market. The company aims to accelerate its transition from product export to technology, brand, and ecosystem export, contributing Chinese corporate wisdom and strength to the global pharmaceutical and health industry.
