China Taiping Reports H1 Shareholder Profit of HK$12.873 Billion, Surging 90.3% Year-on-Year

On August 25, financial market updates revealed that CHINA TAIPING has released its interim results for 2026. During the first half of the year, profit attributable to shareholders reached HK$12.873 billion, marking a substantial 90.3% increase compared to the same period last year.

This robust growth was primarily driven by elevated insurance service performance and a rise in investment returns. The life insurance business segment contributed a profit of HK$16.682 billion, up 101.5% year-on-year, while the asset management division posted a profit of HK$532 million, reflecting a notable 166.2% increase.

Insurance service performance amounted to HK$12.876 billion, growing 4.5% year-on-year, and net investment performance reached HK$9.694 billion, successfully reversing the loss recorded during the corresponding period in the previous year.
