Finsoft Financial Investment Holdings Limited (Finsoft) disclosed that its wholly owned subsidiary Golden Spade Investment Limited sold 396,000 H-shares of Huaneng Power International, Inc. on 2 May 2025 via the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s open market. The block realised gross proceeds of approximately HK$1.95 million, reflecting an average selling price of HK$4.93 per share and generating a disposal gain of about HK$0.26 million for the financial year ended 31 December 2025.

Huaneng Power, listed in Hong Kong and Shanghai, reported steady earnings momentum over the past three fiscal years. Audited accounts show net profit before tax climbing to RMB23.53 million in 2025 (2024: RMB17.82 million; 2023: RMB12.48 million), with net profit after tax at RMB19.53 million, up 39.5 % year on year. As at 31 December 2025, the company held total assets of RMB619.68 million and net assets of RMB219.54 million.

Finsoft cited the disposal as a move to monetise gains on an attractive investment and redeploy approximately HK$1.95 million of proceeds toward general working capital, including office overheads, staff costs and professional fees. The transaction met the 5–25 % threshold under Chapter 19 of the GEM Listing Rules, classifying it as a discloseable transaction.

The company acknowledged a delay in announcing the sale due to errors in size-test computation within its finance team. To strengthen compliance, Finsoft has introduced quarterly regulatory training, enhanced internal control procedures—including mandatory re-computation of size tests by investment committee members—and closer coordination with external advisers.
