GPIXEL (03277) saw its shares jump more than 7% in early trading, last up 6.67% at HK$71.90, with turnover reaching HK$20.98 million.

The company recently posted interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, showing revenue of RMB641 million, an increase of 78.36% year-on-year. Profit attributable to parent company shareholders surged 197.16% to RMB250 million, with earnings per share at RMB0.63.

According to the announcement, revenue growth from area array sensors and line array sensors was driven by a rise in sales volume, which doubled from 264,000 units in the same period last year to 548,000 units. The higher volumes reflect robust demand from downstream industrial imaging applications such as high-end industrial inspection, lithium battery testing, and printed circuit board inspection.

Notably, Hang Seng Indexes Company has announced the results of its quarterly index review as of June 30, 2026, with GPIXEL being added to the Hang Seng Composite Index. The changes will take effect after the market close on Friday, September 4, and become effective on Monday, September 7, prompting corresponding adjustments to the eligible investment scope under the Stock Connect scheme. GPIXEL could potentially be included in the Southbound Trading program, as it meets a range of criteria including market capitalization and liquidity.
