Luzhou Bank (01983) has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026. The group achieved net interest income of RMB 2.439 billion, an increase of 28.57% year-on-year.

Operating income reached RMB 2.804 billion, up 15.74% from the same period last year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the bank stood at RMB 1.001 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 10.96%. Basic earnings per share were RMB 0.35.

For the six-month period, net interest income grew by RMB 542 million, or 28.57%, compared to the prior year. This increase was primarily driven by the expansion of interest-earning assets and a decline in the cost rate of interest-bearing liabilities.

As of June 30, 2026, the average balance of interest-earning assets amounted to RMB 184.55 billion, up RMB 28.776 billion, or 18.47%, year-on-year, mainly due to growth in customer loans. The net interest margin improved by 20 basis points to 2.64%, reflecting a faster increase in net interest income relative to the growth in average interest-earning assets. Meanwhile, the net interest spread remained stable at 2.71%, as the decrease in the average yield on interest-earning assets was offset by an equivalent reduction in the average cost rate of interest-bearing liabilities.
