Zhaojin Mining (01818) has announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting revenue of RMB 9.022 billion, a year-on-year increase of 29.38%. Profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company reached RMB 1.578 billion, up 9.61% from the corresponding period last year, with earnings per share of RMB 0.42.
During the review period, the group faced multiple operational pressures, including increasingly stringent domestic mine safety production supervision, comprehensive upgrades in regulatory inspections, a significant pullback in international gold prices, and two safety incidents at its subsidiary mines. As of June 30, 2026, the affected mines remained suspended, leading to a temporary halt in capacity expansion and a contraction in output scale, thereby putting pressure on the group's production and operations.
In response to the severe and complex internal and external environment, all employees of the group united and actively addressed challenges by implementing comprehensive risk prevention measures, addressing shortcomings, stabilizing production, and maintaining steady operations. These multi-pronged efforts effectively offset various operational pressures. In the first half of the year, the group's overall production and operations remained stable and orderly, with a solid business foundation.
During the period, the group continued to increase investment in mineral resource exploration, allocating RMB 92 million to geological prospecting, which steadily improved the quality and scale of its resource reserves. A major breakthrough was achieved in regional prospecting at the Dayingezhuang mining area's northern zone, where drilling discovered thick ore bodies. Notable exploration results were also recorded in target areas such as Jinwang Mining and Jinzhi Mining. The group added 28.46 tonnes of new gold metal content during the period, solidifying its medium-to-long-term resource foundation.
In terms of external resource expansion, the group adhered to a resource allocation strategy that combines internal and external efforts. Domestically, it completed the acquisition of exploration rights in the peripheral area of Zhaojin Baiyun and successfully bid for the Wasunjia exploration rights in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province, continuously enhancing its resource reserve capacity.
