China Taiping Reports 5.3% Growth in H1 Insurance Revenue to HK$58.9 Billion

China Taiping has unveiled its interim results for the first half of 2026, showcasing steady financial performance across key metrics.

As of the end of June, the group's total assets reached HK$2.17 trillion, reflecting a 9.1% increase compared to the end of last year. Total equity climbed 6.2% to HK$175.1 billion, while equity attributable to ordinary shareholders rose 8.9% to HK$103.638 billion. The contractual service margin grew 6.8% to HK$231.4 billion, and the embedded value per share attributable to shareholders advanced 8.6% to HK$63.33, up from HK$58.30 at the close of the prior year.

During the reporting period, the company recorded a 90.3% surge in profit attributable to shareholders, reaching HK$12.873 billion. Insurance service results improved 4.5% to HK$12.876 billion, while insurance revenue for the first half totaled HK$58.927 billion, marking a 5.3% year-on-year increase.
