Hong Kong Stocks Open Higher: HSI Gains 0.46% as Tech and Gold Shares Rally, Memory Chip Stocks Slump

U.S. stocks reversed early gains on Monday to close mixed, as investors weighed developments in the Middle East and awaited remarks from the Federal Reserve Chair later in the session. The U.S. dollar rebounded from lows, while the 10-year Treasury yield eased to 4.7%. Gold prices remained firm, though oil retreated.

Hong Kong's三大 indexes opened higher on Tuesday. The Hang Seng Index rose 0.46% to 25,634.22 points, the Hang Seng Tech Index gained 0.18%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index advanced 0.34%.

In early trading, tech stocks showed broad gains: Alibaba climbed over 2%, while Xiaomi, Baidu, and JD.com each rose more than 1%. Lenovo slipped over 1%. Gold-related shares opened stronger, with Zijin Gold International up over 1%. Chinese brokerage stocks were active, as GF Securities gained nearly 1%. Auto stocks saw mixed performance, with XPeng-W plunging over 8%. Memory chip concept stocks opened lower, with the CSOP SK Hynix Daily Leverage (2x) Product dropping more than 10%.
