Ganfeng Lithium Group Co., Ltd. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary GFL International signed a definitive agreement on 24 August 2026 with Lithium Argentina to jointly develop the “Consolidated Project” in Argentina.
The agreement integrates the project assets under Millennial, after which GFL International will own 67% of Millennial and Lithium Argentina will hold the remaining 33%. Both parties will fund Millennial in proportion to their stakes and will share product off-take on the same basis.
The Consolidated Project is planned in three construction phases with a total design capacity of 150,000 tonnes of lithium-carbonate equivalent per year. An application for Argentina’s Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) was submitted in Q1 2026, with approval targeted by year-end 2026.
Ganfeng Lithium’s project team will act as operator, aiming to complete the asset integration by the end of Q3 2026 and then advance project financing and construction.
