Weichai Power shifts to full e-communication for all future shareholder documents, issues EGM circular and proxy form

On 26 August 2026, Weichai Power Co., Ltd. (Weichai Power, 02338) released a “Notice of Publication of Circular and Proxy Form of Extraordinary General Meeting”, confirming that the English and Chinese versions of the relevant materials are now available on both the company’s website (www.weichaipower.com) and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing’s HKEXnews platform (www.hkexnews.hk).

The board, chaired by Ma Changhai, highlighted four operational changes:

1. Transition to electronic dissemination • Acting under Rule 2.07A of the Hong Kong Listing Rules, Weichai Power will distribute all future corporate communications—annual and interim reports, meeting notices, circulars, listing documents and proxy forms—exclusively via its website and HKEXnews, replacing routine hard-copy mailings. • This policy aligns the company with market-wide moves to cut printing expenses, accelerate disclosure and support ESG goals.

2. Shareholder action required • Registered shareholders are asked to provide a valid email address by returning the enclosed Reply Form—either by scanning a personalised QR code, emailing print@weichai.com.hk, or sending the form to the H-share registrar, Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services, at 17M/F, Hopewell Centre, Hong Kong. • If no functional email is supplied, shareholders will continue to receive printed actionable corporate communications, plus postal notifications of online publications, until contact details are provided.

3. Optional hard-copy election • Investors preferring physical documents may tick Option 3 on the Reply Form or email their request. The hard-copy election is valid for one year from receipt of the instruction and can be renewed annually.

4. Cost-free fulfillment • Printed versions of the current EGM circular and proxy form are enclosed for shareholders who previously opted for paper. Future printed copies will also be supplied free of charge upon request.

Enquiries can be directed to the company’s hotline at +852 2295 3138 (09:00–18:00, Monday to Friday, Hong Kong time) or via email at print@weichai.com.hk.

The move underscores Weichai Power’s compliance with updated HKEX disclosure requirements and reflects an industry-wide pivot toward more efficient, environmentally conscious shareholder communication. The company’s upcoming extraordinary general meeting will proceed with the newly issued circular and proxy materials now accessible online.
