Standard Chartered PLC has announced a significant share repurchase transaction carried out on August 21, during which the banking group allocated GBP 8.17 million to buy back a total of 378,000 of its own shares.
According to the latest regulatory filing, the buyback was executed at an average cost of approximately GBP 21.61 per share, reflecting the company's ongoing capital management strategy aimed at enhancing shareholder value through active share repurchases.
