The 2026 ranking of the world's 500 largest asset management firms, compiled by the prominent financial publication Investment & Pensions Europe (IPE), has been released, featuring 65 institutions from China.
Within the insurance asset management sector, a total of 15 Chinese companies made the list. China Life Asset Management Company Ltd distinguished itself as the sole Asian institution to break into the global top 30 for the 2026 edition, securing the top spot in Asia for the first time. Ping An Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Taikang Asset Management Co., Ltd. followed closely, maintaining their positions within the top three domestically and the global top 50.
In the category of bank-affiliated wealth management companies, 18 firms were included. Among these, CMB Wealth Management Co., Ltd., CIB Wealth Management Co., Ltd., and CITIC Wealth Management Co., Ltd. were ranked within the global top 100. Several institutions demonstrated notable ranking improvements, including Ningbo Bank Wealth Management Co., Ltd. (rising 37 places), ChinaAMC Wealth Management Co., Ltd. (rising 26 places), PSBC Wealth Management Co., Ltd. (rising 15 places), and CMBC Wealth Management Co., Ltd. (rising 15 places).
