POWER XINCHEN (Xinchen China Power Holdings Ltd.) has added Ms. Huang Yu to the Board as a non-executive director, with the appointment taking effect on 2 July 2026.
Huang, aged 52, currently serves as chief financial officer and vice-president of Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd., which indirectly owns about 31.20% of POWER XINCHEN’s issued share capital and is therefore a controlling shareholder under Hong Kong Listing Rules. She is also a director of Brilliance-BEA Auto Finance Co., Ltd.
Since joining Brilliance China in 1999, Huang has played key roles in the group’s major projects, including the listing of an associate company and the establishment of various joint ventures. Her professional background spans financial accounting, taxation and management accounting. She is a PRC-certified public accountant, a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds PRC legal practising qualifications. Huang earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
Appointment terms specify an initial three-year tenure, subject to termination by either party via written notice. In accordance with the company’s articles of association, she will stand for election at the next annual general meeting and will subsequently be subject to retirement by rotation. No director’s fee is payable; remuneration will be reviewed annually by the Board’s remuneration committee.
As of the announcement date, Huang holds no shares in POWER XINCHEN and has no disclosed relationships with other directors, senior management or substantial shareholders beyond Brilliance China’s ownership position.
Post-appointment, the Board comprises: • Executive directors – Zhang Wei (Chairman) and Deng Han (CEO) • Non-executive directors – Yang Ming and Huang Yu • Independent non-executive directors – Chi Guohua, Wang Jun and Dong Yan
The Board has formally welcomed Huang Yu to her new role.
